Editorial Policy
How we approach research, sourcing, and transparency.
MacroScribbles publishes data-driven research. We take that seriously, and we think you should know how we work.
Sourcing and data
Every research article draws on publicly available datasets from institutions like the World Bank, United Nations, IMF, and similar organizations. When we make a factual claim backed by data, we name the source. When a chart is illustrative or simplified, we say so.
We combine multiple datasets to produce original analysis. The underlying data is only as good as the institutions that publish it — and we'll flag known limitations when they matter.
Voice and perspective
We take positions when the data warrants it. We're not trying to sound neutral when we're not. But we draw a clear line between what the numbers show, what we infer from them, and where we're offering opinion.
Plain language over jargon. If an economics concept needs explaining, that's what our explainers are for.
AI disclosure
We use AI tools in our research and writing workflow — for drafting, analysis, and improving clarity. Every piece is reviewed and edited by humans. We take responsibility for what gets published, including any errors.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we'll correct it and note the change. If you spot an error, we want to know.
Advertising and sponsorships
We currently have no sponsorships or paid placements. If that changes, it will be clearly disclosed on the relevant page.
